The Stable Door Tapas Wine
Bar & Gallery is tucked away behind the town's Clock
Tower and down a cobbled street. This wonderful 17th century
stone building was originally part of the Castle's stable block.

Owner Wendy Joy trained as a chef and
spent many years catering for famous people around the world
before coming here in 1989. Her cosmopolitan tastes are
reflected in both the menu and decor of this charming
establishment. She has gained a superb reputation for the high
standard of food she serves.
While Wendy is serving up her tasty 'Tapas' menu to customers, they are able to browse
an interesting collection of work by local artists. The refurbishment of her award
winning restaurant includes a Gallery which houses paintings and
photographs, both old and new, of Laugharne.
There are some fantastic pictures on display, dating back to
the turn of the century making this an historic exhibition.
Wendy has more paintings and pottery in the pipeline, 'Laugharne
is an inspirational place and the Stable Door is the perfect
venue to showcase local artists.
The Staple Door Restaurant will be cosed during January 2008 - we will, however, be taking bookings for Valentine's Day from the third week in January onwards.
